Club Information:
White Eagle Golf Club opened in 1989 and is a full-service member-owned private country club located in Naperville, IL. The mission of the Club is to provide a premier private golf and social experience for its members, their families and guests, by offering high-quality services and facilities in a fiscally responsible manner. Originally designed by Arnold Palmer, the Club offers 27 holes of golf that are set on approximately 163 acres in an upscale residential community. The three nine-hole courses are challenging and impeccable, allowing White Eagle to build a rich history of hosting prestigious golf tournaments.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a polished and personable Host to join our formal dining team. In this role, you’ll be the first and last impression of the club’s dining experience, welcoming members and guests into a refined and inviting atmosphere. You will set the tone for exceptional service by creating a seamless and organized flow of the dining room, ensuring every member feels recognized and valued. We are looking for a service professional who leads by example and upholds our club’s standards while maintaining a warm and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
Create First Impressions:
Greet members and guests with professionalism and warmth upon arrival. You’re not just checking reservations—you’re setting the tone for a personalized and elevated dining experience.
Dining Room Coordination:
Manage reservations, seating charts, and table flow to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience without delays or overcrowding.
Standards:
Maintain a clean, organized, and polished host stand and entry area. In a formal setting, the “Club Standard” for presentation and professionalism applies at all times.
Member Recognition:
Develop familiarity with members, their preferences, and seating habits to create a welcoming and personalized atmosphere.
Seamless Communication:
Coordinate closely with servers, management, and kitchen staff to manage pacing, special requests, and any changes in service flow.
Guest Experience Oversight:
Monitor the dining room throughout service, assisting where needed, addressing member needs promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction from arrival to departure.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience:
1+ year in a host, hospitality, or front-of-house role in a restaurant, hotel, or club setting preferred.
The “Vibe”:
Professional, poised, and welcoming. You enjoy engaging with members and thrive in a structured, high-touch service environment.
Knowledge:
Understanding of reservation systems, seating organization, and formal dining service flow is a plus.
Reliability:
Dependability is key—consistent presence is essential in maintaining smooth dining operations and member satisfaction.
Physicality:
Ability to stand for extended periods and move efficiently throughout the dining room and entry areas.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
