Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and customer relations, with excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality. This role is vital in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and an enjoyable dining experience. Prior restaurant or hotel guest services experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS. The Host will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize the flow of service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems like Aloha POS
• Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and seating options
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
• Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions and concerns promptly
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth guest flow and timely service
• Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information about the restaurant’s offerings and policies
• Assist in managing guest relations to enhance overall guest experience
• Support other front-of-house duties as needed to ensure a welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS is a plus
• Experience in food service, serving, or hotel guest services is advantageous
• Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• A friendly demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented attitude are required
