Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a lively and friendly demeanor, providing exceptional customer service from the moment they arrive.
• Manage reservations and waiting lists efficiently, ensuring timely seating and minimizing wait times.
• Assist guests with seating arrangements, answer questions about the menu or restaurant policies, and provide directions as needed.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash register transactions with precision, including cash, credit card payments, and issuing receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to promote a welcoming environment.
• Support team members by communicating effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service flow.
• Uphold phone etiquette standards when taking reservations or answering inquiries over the phone.
• Demonstrate strong guest relations skills by addressing concerns promptly and professionally to enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or cashier in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly, energetic attitude.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices.
• Prior experience in serving or guest services will be advantageous.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to stand for extended periods while maintaining enthusiasm throughout shifts.
