Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for greeting visitors with enthusiasm, managing reservations, and ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an enjoyable dining or hospitality experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality talents while working in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, making them feel valued and comfortable.
  • Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
  • Provide accurate wait time estimates and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
  • Assist with guest inquiries over the phone, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills.
  • Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth seating flow and guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times.
  • Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism, aiming to resolve issues promptly and positively.

Experience

  • Prior experience as a host or hostess in a food service or restaurant setting is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest interactions.
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
  • Experience working in hospitality environments like hotels or restaurants enhances your ability to manage guest relations effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and attentive listening, are essential.
  • Knowledge of food service operations, serving protocols, and guest services will support your success in this role.
