Host / Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host / Cashier to join our dynamic team! In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional experience. Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive service to create a positive first impression
  • Manage guest seating arrangements and waitlist management with efficiency and professionalism
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders and payments swiftly and accurately
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods with precision, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding guest needs, reservations, or special requests
  • Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
  • Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering inquiries

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Host/Hostess or Cashier in food service or restaurant environments preferred
  • Proven customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to handle guest interactions with professionalism
  • Knowledge of hospitality standards, including guest services and serving best practices
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Previous hotel or guest relations experience is a plus but not required
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive guest experiences

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.75 - $26.80 per hour
