Job Description:

SHYBOY, a refined HiFi listening and dining concept by Headington Companies, is seeking a polished, career-driven Host & Client Liaison to serve as both the first and lasting impression of our space. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of hospitality, culture, and client relations.

You will be responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations and pacing, and maintaining seamless communication with managers and service staff. Additionally, you will act as an external ambassador, cultivating relationships with concierges, luxury partners, and VIP clientele to drive top-line revenue and deepen ShyBoy’s presence within the city’s hospitality and nightlife landscape.

EXPECTED SCHEDULE:

Part-Time
Hours per week: 20–30 (variable)

Variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Typical service schedule: Wednesday – Sunday, evenings only

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Experience & Service Execution

• Demonstrate genuine hospitality and set the stage for an exceptionally distinctive guest experience from arrival through departure
• Greet and seat guests with professionalism, anticipating and accommodating special requests
• Act as the primary point of contact for guests, addressing inquires and resolving ussues promptly and efficiently
• Review, plan, and execute nightly seating charts and reservation pacing
• Communicate all reservation notes, VIP flags, and guest preferences to managers and staff
• Maintain an elevated level of cleanliness and presentation at the host stand and entry areas
• Assist service and management teams as needed to ensure smooth floor operations

Client Liaison & Business Development

• Cultivate strong relationships with hotel concierges, event planners, and local partners to drive reservations and visibility
• Represent ShyBoy professionally when building relationships
• Follow up with guests and partners post-visit to reinforce brand loyalty
• Maintain tracking and reporting of outreach efforts, bookings, and guest feedback

Administrative & Support

• Manage reservations with precision
• Collaborate closely with management on seating strategy, event coordination, and daily service flow
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by leadership

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fine dining or elevated hospitality setting
• Strong interpersonal skills with polished communication and a guest-first mentality
• Working knowledge of wine and cocktails preferred
• Experience with reservation systems (required)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
• Must be available for evening and weekend shifts (required)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move swiftly between guest interactions
• Detail-oriented, upbeat, and composed under pressure
• Operate with passion, respect, integrity, and a focus on meaningful guest relationships
