Job Duties

  • Be gracious, friendly, patient and have a helpful attitude towards guests as the first person they see.
  • Run the central kitchen host station where all patrons will check-in if they have food orders and receive a pager. Handle to-go orders.
  • Sell merchandise and Beer Cans from the togo station.
  • ID guests when needed.
  • Answer the phone, taking any messages as needed
  • Recommend and check out board games from our library of games to guests
  • Assist with customers inquiries or complaints when asked.
  • Have a strong knowledge of all products sold
  • Create material for social media posts.
  • Support the bartenders, taproom manager and other staff as needed
  • Bus and clean tables when appropriate
  • Help with restocking, cleaning, setup and/or breakdown of the taproom, restrooms, patio, and all other service areas as needed
  • Follow all safety and health regulations
  • Be a brand ambassador and potentially represent Red Bear at festivals and local events
  • Any other assigned tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • Some full-service restaurant experience is required for this role. Fast food/fast casual experience does not transfer.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Enjoy Board games and/or be willing to learn about them.
  • Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Enjoy working in public in a positive friendly manner
  • Ability to take direction and work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, other staff and management
  • Passion for beer and brewing with a desire to learn more
  • Positive, fun attitude and self-motivated work ethic
  • Be able to work in a noisy and often very active environment
  • Ability to stand in one place for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Commitment to learn basic of ASL
  • Flexible schedule with availability on nights and weekends
  • Willingness & ability to engage with digital interface for scheduling & team communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in ASL is desired
  • Social Media Aptitude
  • Bar or Restaurant Experience Desired
  • Board Game expertise is desired.
