Three Little Bears Retreat is a luxury eco-resort bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Inspired by vintage safari lodges and the spirit of the Southern Appalachians, we combine comfort and adventure with a commitment to fellowship, relaxation, and environmental stewardship. Our team takes pride in delivering personalized guest experiences that honor both the land and the local culture.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Host & Cleaner / Resort Steward to join our Luxury Smoky Mountain Safari-style resort for 2026. This is far more than a housekeeping role — it’s an opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven hospitality team that blends luxury service, adventure, and community care.

You’ll work closely with our Safari Guides and management team to ensure lodges are pristine, events run smoothly, and the resort grounds reflect the natural beauty and harmony of the Smokies. From preparing cabins for arriving guests to supporting weddings and helping with conservation projects, this role offers variety, purpose, and a chance to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Lodge Preparation

  • Clean and prepare luxury lodges and guest areas to the highest standards of presentation and care.
  • Laundry & Linen Care: Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, and bedding to luxury hospitality standards. Maintain consistency in presentation, scent, and cleanliness across all lodges and guest areas.
  • Support Safari Guides by restocking guest amenities, checking quality, and ensuring readiness before arrivals.
  • Assist guests as needed with luggage, amenities, and hosting duties during peak times.

Event & Wedding Support

  • Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleanup for weddings, private dinners, and group gatherings.
  • Maintain clean and inviting common spaces during and after events.
  • Work cooperatively with other staff to ensure smooth, elegant experiences for all guests.

Resort Stewardship & Sustainability

  • Participate in stewardship and community initiatives such as:
  • Tree preservation and replanting projects
  • Local volunteer or conservation activities
  • Recycling and waste reduction programs
  • Trail, stream, and landscape care around the resort
  • Take pride in maintaining the resort’s natural setting in line with our commitment to environmental harmony.

Team Collaboration & Maintenance Support

  • Support light maintenance, laundry, and inventory management as directed.
  • Report issues promptly and assist in resort improvement projects.
  • Be flexible and ready to step in wherever the team needs help — from housekeeping to hospitality.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in hospitality, housekeeping, or cleaning preferred.
  • Friendly, dependable, and guest-focused attitude.
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical work.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in environmental stewardship activities.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation

Ideal Candidate Traits:

We’re seeking someone who:

  • Takes pride in attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
  • Loves the outdoors and values sustainability.
  • Works well on a small, tight-knit team.
  • Finds joy in meaningful work — whether cleaning a cabin or planting a tree.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly pay with performance bonuses
  • Housing may be available for full-time staff
  • Tips and special event pay opportunities
  • Resort access and staff activity perks
  • Seasonal and year-round positions available

How to Apply:

Submit your resume and a short note sharing why working in the Smoky Mountains — and being part of a resort that values nature, hospitality, and community — inspires you. We are collecting and interviewing applications for positions that will begin in February and March of 2026.
