POSITION SUMMARY:
The Host creates a welcoming first impression while managing guest flow and supporting front-of-house operations. Responsibilities include greeting guests, managing waitlists and reservations, seating guests, and maintaining awareness of dining room activity to ensure efficient service. The Host also assists with beverage refills, light cleaning, restroom upkeep, phone calls, and to-go orders as needed.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet and seat guests in a warm, professional manner
Manage waitlist, reservations, and seating chart
Monitor dining room flow and guest needs
Communicate wait times and respond to guest inquiries
Assist with beverage refills and front-of-house support
Maintain cleanliness of host stand, menus, glassware, and entry areas
Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and presentable
Answer phones and assist with reservations and to-go orders
Enter and manage guest information in the POS/reservation system
Support team members to ensure smooth service
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: No experience required
Skills:
Strong customer service and communication skills
Professional demeanor and positive attitude
Ability to multitask and stay organized
High energy and attention to detail
Basic math skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical & Mental Requirements:
Must be able to stand and remain on feet for the duration of a full shift
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25+ lbs
Ability to move throughout the front-of-house area as needed, including walking and occasional bending or reaching
Ability to maintain focus and composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction
Ability to communicate clearly and respond quickly to guest and team needs
Work Environment:
Position is primarily stationed at or near the restaurant entrance in a guest-facing role
Requires standing and active engagement throughout the shift
Fast-paced, high-energy environment with frequent guest interaction
Must maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance at all times
Work may involve exposure to varying levels of noise and activity typical of a busy restaurant
Team-oriented setting requiring constant communication and coordination with front-of-house staff
