Host Lead

Duties

• Lead and motivate the host team to deliver outstanding guest service with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Oversee guest check-in and seating procedures, ensuring smooth flow during busy periods
• Manage reservations, walk-in guests, and waitlist management using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere by greeting guests with warmth and positive phone etiquette
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate seating times and optimize table turnover
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve any concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Train new hosts on service standards, POS operation, and hospitality best practices
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold high standards of hospitality

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—capable of engaging diverse guests
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus
• Ability to handle phone inquiries professionally and manage guest relations effectively
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a restaurant setting is preferred
• Knowledge of food service operations, guest services, and serving etiquette is highly desirable
