Role Overview

We are seeking a polished and personable Host/Hostess to join our team at the speakeasy on Chouteau Ave. The Host/Hostess will be the first and last point of contact for our guests—setting the tone for their entire evening. This role blends host responsibilities with active guest service, including assisting in taking orders, supporting bartenders and servers, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage reservations, waitlists, and seating with efficiency and grace.
• Assist in taking drink orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide attentive guest service, anticipating needs and enhancing the speakeasy experience.
• Maintain flow of the room, balancing ambiance with smooth service.
• Coordinate with bartenders, servers, and support staff for seamless operations.
• Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism and discretion.
• Uphold Prohibition’s standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/maître d’, server, or in upscale guest service preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Professional, warm, and confident presence in a hospitality environment.
• Ability to multitask and manage guest flow in a busy setting.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver’s license.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and late nights.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for up to 8 hours
