Job Summary
New Lahaina restaurant, Muumuu! We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host / Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will ensure guests feel valued and well-attended to throughout their visit. As a Host / Runner, you will coordinate guest seating, assist with food delivery, and support the overall flow of service to deliver an exceptional dining experience. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your hospitality skills in a lively, fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them to their seats
• Manage guest reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and smooth service flow
• Assist with clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Support the team during busy periods by running food from the kitchen to tables and helping with general guest needs
• Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring every guest feels valued, comfortable, and satisfied

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with guests and team members
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Experience in customer service, guest relations, or hotel environments is advantageous
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the restaurant, and lift light loads as needed
• Excellent phone etiquette and professional demeanor at all times
• Knowledge of hospitality best practices and serving procedures is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: $22.12 - $30.00 per hour
