Host / Service Support

The Mercury Diner is not your average diner, and we're not looking for your average host!

Our small, high-performing tip-pooled team is in need of a part-time Host / Service Support on Thursdays and Fridays, with the opportunity to pick up shifts on the weekend.

Experience hosting is strongly preferred. This position involves delegating server sections, planning reservations, bagging to-go orders, and using OpenTable and Toast to ensure a seamless customer experience. The right candidate will be warm, friendly, and a great multi-tasker.

In this combined role, you’ll also be responsible for clearing and resetting tables, washing dishes, restocking service areas, and maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of shared spaces throughout the diner and bar. You will support the entire team—servers, cooks, and bartenders—by ensuring that everything stays clean, stocked, and ready for smooth, efficient service.
