Host / Table Side Experience

Descanso Modern Taqueria celebrates the authentic flavors and recipes of the street food of Central West Mexico and presents them in an elegant, full-service setting. Concept creator Rob Arellano pulled from his own Mexican heritage to create a never-before-seen restaurant experience rooted in nostalgia and comfort, that speaks to how we live and eat today. Our guests come face to face with a Taquero, or Taco Chef, as regional classics are made to order in a lively setting that brings in the smells, sounds and energy of a bustling Mexican town.

We are currently seeking Host / Table Side Cart Candidates to join our team of hospitality professionals. The Host is responsible for greeting our guests and providing the best possible first impression of our restaurant. The Host ensures that our guests get seated and begin their dining experience with us in the most timely and efficient way possible. This position is ideal for someone wanting to get a foothold with a successful and expanding brand with opportunities for professional and personal growth.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Experience working in a Host or other customer service role.
• The ability to communicate in person and over the phone in a manner that makes our guests feel welcome and appreciated.
• Daytime availability during weekdays and Sunday availability are absolute musts.
• Some experience with a reservation app like Open Table is a plus.
• Customer Service and Guest Interaction Focused
• Basic Tequila Knowledge
• 21 + as cross train to our Cazuela Alta Cart
• Table Side Cocktail Experience
• Base + Tips
