Custom House Restaurant Group is opening a new full-service restaurant in Shell Beach serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are looking for organized and friendly team members who enjoy working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and providing great guest service.

As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests and help set the tone for their experience. This role includes greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, assisting with phone orders and takeout orders, and helping maintain a smooth and organized dining room during service.

We provide full coverage for required Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training and certification. Training time and certification costs are covered in accordance with company policy and California requirements.

Responsibilities

Welcome and greet guests as they arrive

Manage reservations and waitlists

Escort guests to tables and present menus

Maintain an organized and welcoming host stand

Answer phones and assist guests with questions or reservations

Take phone orders for takeout and enter orders accurately into the POS system

Process takeout transactions and handle cash and card payments

Package takeout orders and coordinate pickup with guests

Communicate with servers and management regarding seating and wait times

Help maintain a smooth flow of service in the dining room

Assist with guest needs and front-of-house support when needed

Requirements:
Previous host, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required
Comfortable using POS systems for order entry and payments

Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately
Strong communication and guest service skills
Friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Ability to obtain and maintain a California Food Handler Certification
