Host/Busser at Mama Lu's

The Role…
Mama Lu's is looking for a Host/Busser (combo role!) who embodies the restaurant's culture of genuine hospitality.

HOST Main Duties…
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Warmly greet and seat guests upon arrival
Answer phones kindly and promptly
Manage waitlist and guest expectations of timely and comfortable seating
Direct guests to their seats
Maintain the flow of service throughout the restaurant
Assist in organization of carryout orders
Develop relationships with regular guests, and record their preferences
Bid guests farewell and invite them back
Maintain a tidy front entrance area and bathrooms
Maintain knowledge of hours, location and website information
Understand and perform job duties to the expectations of Honest Hospitality TC and the restaurant service manuals
Immerse themselves and become experts in the Honest Hospitality TC culture

BUSSER Main Duties...
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist in serving guests as part of a team by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, and offering assistance and advice
Have overall knowledge of all food, wine and cocktail offerings
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both front and back of the house, maintaining a positive and team-oriented demeanor
Ensure good communication with servers at all times about the wants and needs of guests
Oversees dining room maintenance, cleanliness and appearance
Set up and restock service stations before, during and after service; restock glassware, silverware and plate ware
Serve water to guests and refills regularly throughout the dining experience
Polish glassware and silverware
Participate in preshift meetings
Understand and perform job duties to the expectations of Honest Hospitality TC and the restaurant service, food, beverage and wine manuals
Immerse themselves and become experts in the Honest Hospitality TC culture

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
