Host/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Cashier to join our team in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage guest interactions efficiently while handling cash transactions.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist them with seating arrangements.
• Manage the flow of guests in the restaurant, ensuring timely seating and service.
• Take and process customer payments.
• Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring all payments are processed correctly.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance guest experience.
• Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and waiting areas.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Assist wait staff with bussing tables and/ or customer beverages as needed.
• Answering telephone calls.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with touch screen POS systems.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for food service and hospitality, demonstrating a commitment to providing excellent guest experiences.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
