Duties

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional attitude, making them feel valued and comfortable
• Manage reservation systems and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems to organize seating arrangements
• Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the venue or menu offerings
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/ess station, including greeting area and waiting area
• Handle guest inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times or reservations
• Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive first impression

Experience

• Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment is highly preferred
• Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills to interact confidently with diverse guests
• Experience with POS systems such as Toast POS
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management, seating protocols, and guest relations
• Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with guest services and hospitality standards
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
• Experience in serving or food service roles can enhance understanding of restaurant workflows and guest needs
