Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent guest relations and ensuring they feel valued from the start
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Toast, Square, Aloha
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about menu items, wait times, and special events
• Handle cashier duties accurately, processing payments through POS terminals and issuing receipts promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a welcoming environment
• Assist with guest inquiries or concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction
• Support team members with restaurant operations as needed, including basic food service tasks or guest assistance

Experience

• Prior host/hostess experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
• Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills and phone etiquette
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Toast, Aloha, or Square is highly desirable
• Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a lively setting while maintaining professionalism
• Previous experience with serving or guest relations roles enhances your ability to connect with guests effectively
