Hostess / Guest Experience Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking an outgoing and efficient Hostess / Guest Experience Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and farewell, and providing exceptional customer service. You will manage the flow of guests, handle reservations and take out orders, and process transactions accurately while maintaining a positive dining experience. Must be 18+ at time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests immediately upon arrival with an enthusiastic and warm demeanor.
  • Coordinate seating arrangements, based on reservations and availability - manage guest flow.
  • Seat guests and coordinate with the team to ensure proper communication.
  • Answer all phone calls promptly and politely.
  • Enter and manage reservations effectively to optimize seating capacity.
  • Enter and process take-out orders using Toast POS.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in billing.
  • Accurately pack take out and delivery orders, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, thanks to thorough knowledge of the menu and allergens.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area (includes cleaning and organizing menus, cleaning check books, etc.)
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest relations throughout the dining experience.
  • Occasionally assist with light house-keeping duties, such as assisting servers with bussing, taking and preparing guests drink orders, etc. (As needed)
  • Enthusiastically thank guests for visiting as they leave, and encourage future visits.

Requirements

  • WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY AVAILABILITY IS A MUST.
  • 1 YEAR OF HOSTING OR SERVING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
  • Must be personable and outgoing - happy to interact and help guests.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and phone etiquette.

Experience

  • Knowledge of Japanese cuisine is preferred but not required.
  • Background in food service or hospitality is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
