Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, efficiently managing the seating arrangements, and handling transactions with accuracy. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service from the moment they enter until they leave.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize dining flow.
- Assist guests with menu inquiries and provide recommendations when needed.
- Operate the POS system accurately to process orders and payments.
- Handle cash and credit transactions while maintaining accuracy in all financial dealings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and waiting areas.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Uphold high standards of customer service in line with hospitality best practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Foodtec POS, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest services and hospitality.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills.
