Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and energetic attitude, guiding them to their tables or seating areas efficiently
• Manage guest reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure smooth seating flow
• Provide accurate information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to enhance guest satisfaction
• Assist with guest inquiries via phone and in person, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Support the restaurant team by coordinating between front-of-house and kitchen staff to optimize service delivery
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas to uphold high standards of hospitality
• Handle guest concerns promptly and courteously, turning any issues into positive resolutions that foster guest loyalty

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest services
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous but not required
