Job Overview:
As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and pleasant dining atmosphere for guests during meal hours. You will assist in setting up and maintaining the buffet, ensuring food and beverage items are well-stocked and presented attractively. Additionally, you will provide courteous and efficient service to guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly. This is a seasonal position that runs approximately from April through October.
What you'll be doing:
Skills and Abilities:
High school education plus one or more years of related experience. Alcohol awareness certification and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred. Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service. Ability to understand and comply with proper seating chart rotation. Ability to process guest bills and payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processes and accounting policies and procedures.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
