Host/Hostess

Join our team at the Blue Gate Restaurant as a Host/Hostess. As a Host/Hostess, you will effectively communicate with guests from all over the country, from welcoming them upon arrival to thanking them as they leave. Your primary responsibilities are:

• Greeting guests
• Answering questions and providing information
• Taking guests to their table with menus
• Clearing tables
• Operating a cash register
• Communicating accurately, effectively, and professionally

A Host/Hostess rotates through stations with different responsibilities daily, providing variety and helping develop new skills. A full-time host/hostess will work up to 5 times per week, including Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. No Sundays! We are seeking someone who can work when needed, including days and evenings. Adult wages start at up to $15.00 per hour.

Host/Hostess Requirements:

• Welcoming personality
• An open schedule and a willingness to work when needed, including days and evenings until closing.
• Working on Fridays and Saturdays is required!
• Must communicate professionally with guests, co-workers, and managers
• Must perform the job duties accurately and efficiently
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing for an entire shift, bending and stretching, moving, and lifting
• Working as a successful part of the team
• Must be at least 18 years old

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
