Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude as they arrive, making them feel immediately welcomed
• Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure smooth seating flow
• Coordinate with the restaurant team to assign tables and optimize seating arrangements for efficiency and guest comfort
• Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about the restaurant, reservations, and wait times
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and well-presented
• Assist with guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously
• Support the overall guest experience by providing accurate wait times and estimated seating durations

Requirements

• Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting preferred
• Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations expertise
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
• Prior experience in hotel or hospitality environments is a plus
• Knowledge of food service operations and guest services standards is advantageous
