Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong background in customer service, and experience in the hospitality or food service industry. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive dining or guest experience. This role is essential in setting the tone for our establishment’s reputation for outstanding guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, providing exceptional customer service.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area.
• Answer phone inquiries with courtesy and professionalism, providing accurate information about the restaurant or hotel services.
• Use POS systems such as TOAST POS to handle reservations and guest check-ins when applicable.
• Coordinate with servers and staff to ensure smooth seating transitions and timely service.
• Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their experience.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns with tact and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Host/Hostess in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST POS is advantageous.
• Experience in food service, restaurant operations, or hotel guest services is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude essential for representing our establishment’s brand.
• Knowledge of hospitality standards, including guest relations and phone etiquette, is desirable.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
