Host/Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Host/Host to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences at our restaurant. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting them warmly, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere and enhancing guest relations.

Duties

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover.
  • Assist guests with reservations and provide information about menu offerings.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to coordinate guest needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism.
  • Provide support to the waitstaff during busy periods to enhance customer service.
  • Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and seating arrangements.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Experience in hospitality or food service preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of guest services principles to enhance the dining experience.
  • Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar systems is a plus.
  • A passion for helping others and creating memorable dining experiences.
