Job Summary
City Cellars HTX is seeking professional and polished Hosts/Hostesses who can lead the front line of hospitality with warmth, precision, and grace under pressure. As the first and last impression of our guest experience, you will play a vital role in ensuring a welcoming, smooth-flowing, and thoughtfully executed service from the moment guests arrive. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-energy environments and can juggle multiple tasks with ease—while keeping their cool and their smile.
Key Responsibilities

Greet every guest with enthusiasm, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.

Manage OpenTable reservations, waitlists, and walk-ins with attention to pacing and table management.

Maintain clear communication with the FOH and BOH teams to coordinate guest seating, turn times, and service flow.

Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with tact and urgency.

Keep the host stand and entryway organized, clean, and visually on-brand at all times.

Anticipate guest needs and maintain a sense of calm during peak periods.

Uphold the City Cellars standard of presentation, professionalism, and warmth.

Manage to-go pickup interactions with efficiency and hospitality.

Communicate timing and table updates clearly to managers and servers.

Maintain a working knowledge of the menu and specials to assist with light guest guidance when needed.
Qualifications

1+ year experience as a host in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.

OpenTable experience required; strong understanding of seating flow and turn time pacing.

Excellent multitasking, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Calm, courteous demeanor with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.

Strong organizational skills and professional presentation.

A team-first attitude with a flexible and guest-centric approach.

Must be available for weekend and holiday shifts.
Availability Requirements

Hosts/Hostesses must be available to work a minimum of 24 hours per week. Weekend availability is required.
Compensation

$10–$14/hour, based on experience and performance
