As a Host / Hostess, you set the tone from the moment guests arrive. You are the welcoming face of Glacier — guiding guests seamlessly from arrival to seating, managing flow during high-volume service, and ensuring every guest feels acknowledged, comfortable, and excited to be here. This role is ideal for polished, personable individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in delivering exceptional first impressions.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with warmth, confidence, and genuine hospitality
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems (Aloha, Micros, or similar)
• Control guest flow and seating to maximize efficiency and maintain smooth service
• Escort guests to tables, provide menus, and assist with initial questions
• Communicate clearly with servers, bartenders, and management to support guest satisfaction
• Answer phones professionally, handling reservations and guest inquiries accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and polished host stand and lobby area
• Address guest needs or concerns promptly and courteously, escalating when appropriate

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a hospitality environment preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-energy, high-volume environment
• Familiarity with hospitality standards, guest relations, and professional phone etiquette
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and events
