Host/Hostess

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Expo to join our team. As a Host/Expo, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Your main responsibilities as a host will include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and assisting with various tasks to ensure a smooth dining experience. Your main responsibilities as an expo will include carefully examining and garnishing dishes to make sure they up to business expectations, organizing dishes to send to the appropriate table, and packing to go orders appropriately.

Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly smile upon arrival
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information as needed
- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service
- Provide exceptional guest service by addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly
- Assist in setting up tables for special events or large parties

- Garnish dishes

- Ensure the correct dishes are sent to the correct table

- Pack to-go orders accordingly

-Occasionally run food for the waitstaff
- Help maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour
