Job Description:

We are seeking a warm, polished, and service-oriented Host/Hostess to join our private country club Pool Restaurant team for the upcoming season.

This position plays an essential role in creating a welcoming first impression for our members and their families while also supporting overall dining room operations.

Our pool environment is lively and family-focused, and we are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

Position Summary

The Host/Hostess greets members and guests, manages seating and waitlists, and supports the service team to ensure a seamless dining experience. When not actively seating guests, this role assists with bussing and resetting tables to maintain efficient dining room flow.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests promptly and professionally
• Escort members and guests to tables
• Communicate clearly with servers and management regarding table status
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand
• Assist with clearing tables when available
• Reset tables promptly and properly according to club standards
• Support overall dining room cleanliness and presentation
• Uphold club service standards at all times

Qualifications

• Customer service or hospitality experience preferred
• Friendly, confident, and professional demeanor
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, outdoor pool environment
• Willingness to assist with bussing and light cleaning duties
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in hot summer conditions

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• restaurant serving: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Grand Rapids, MI 49546: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
