Host/Server

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. As a Host/Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests feel welcomed and well taken care of from the moment they arrive until they leave.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
• Manage reservations in OpenTable and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize dining flow.
• Provide menus and explain daily specials to guests, answering any questions they may have.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using the Toast POS system.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in regularly and addressing any needs or concerns.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow team members to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, restrooms and service stations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and communication.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast POS, is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on helping guests feel valued.
• Ability to multitask in a busy restaurant setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
• Able to use ScheduleFly as a form of scheduling and companywide communication.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $35.00 per hour
