Host/Server

Join our tight-knit team at our quaint French café in the heart of Wayne, PA! We are seeking a warm, poised, and highly organized Host/Server to serve as the face of our café. In this role, you will create an enchanting first impression for our guests, managing the dining room flow with grace, efficiency, and a touch of hospitality. Key Responsibilities

• Warm Welcomes: Greet arriving guests with a friendly, professional smile and authentic hospitality.
• Efficient Seating: Manage table rotations seamlessly to maximize dining room flow without overwhelming the service staff.
• Waitlist & Reservations: Keep waitlists organized during busy weekend brunch and lunch rushes, providing accurate wait time estimates.
• Menu Presentation: Guide guests to their tables, present menus, and introduce daily French pastries or beverage specials.
• Station Upkeep: Maintain a spotless, orderly front host station and ensure menus remain clean and presentable.
• Phone & Inquiry Management: Answer phone calls professionally to handle reservations, catering inquiries, and general café questions.
• Team Support: Assist servers by clearing menus or wiping down tables when necessary to keep the café running efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Personality: Naturally friendly, outgoing, and exceptionally welcoming.
• Professionalism: Elegant demeanor with excellent communication skills, capable of handling a sophisticated Main Line clientele.
• Organization: High attention to detail with the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure.
• Efficiency: Fast-paced multitasker who can anticipate guest needs and keep the front door moving smoothly.
• Experience: Prior host or customer service experience in a café or restaurant setting is preferred, but a great attitude is our priority.
• Availability: Flexibility to work daytime hours, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday brunch shifts are peak hours).
