Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host and Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is our first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience. This role also requires knowing our menu and being able to assist with take-out and delivery orders (taking phone orders). Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not necessary. Applicant must be fluent in English and aged 18+.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and ensure they feel welcomed.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the dining experience.
- Assist with guest inquiries, ensuring all needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Accurately pack to-go orders for customers.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or answering questions as needed.
- Uphold high standards of guest relations, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
Skills
- Previous Host/Host experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
- Top-notch work ethics - ability to show up to shifts and be reliable at all times
- Positive, friendly personality and a can-do attitude
Shifts/Availability
- Evening shifts, 4pm-9/10pm. Different days available with emphasis on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
