Host/Server Assistant for breakfast restaurant

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them to their tables
• Manage reservation bookings and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Assist servers by delivering menus, refilling beverages, and clearing tables promptly to maintain a clean and inviting space
• Answer guest inquiries with clear communication, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Support the hosting team in maintaining restaurant cleanliness, organization, and readiness for service
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth flow of service during busy breakfast hours
• Help uphold high standards of hospitality by engaging with guests professionally and courteously at all times

Experience

• Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Familiarity with hotel or guest services can enhance your ability to provide exceptional guest relations
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to handle guest inquiries confidently
• Prior experience in serving or hospitality roles will support your success in this position
• Ability to work flexible hours during breakfast service times, including weekends and holidays
