Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms.
• Seat guests promptly, ensuring optimal table assignments that enhance their dining experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure smooth transactions.
• Serve food and drinks with professionalism, upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting in food handling when necessary.
• Support kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation or replenishing supplies during busy periods.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for bills, and process payments efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and fostering positive guest relations.
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines in accordance with food industry standards.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Host/Hostess, Server, Bartender, or in a similar food service role within a restaurant or nightlife environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for reservations and transactions.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while providing genuine recommendations.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during busy hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and bill calculations; cashiering experience is a plus.
• Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding food preparation and service flow.
• Experience working in fine dining establishments or nightclubs is preferred for creating upscale guest experiences.
