We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth guest flow throughout the dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Assist in coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems for managing reservations and orders as needed.
- Provide excellent guest relations by being attentive, helpful, and responsive to customer needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Proficient phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude with a genuine desire to help guests enjoy their dining experience.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not required.
