This is a working leadership role—you’ll own the physical plant, build the maintenance program, and ensure the hotel operates safely and efficiently from day one.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Hotel Chief Engineer to lead our maintenance and engineering operations. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and facilities systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and guest satisfaction. Your leadership will drive efficient management of maintenance activities, coordinate complex projects, and uphold the highest standards of facilities management. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all hotel systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing, elevators, and other mechanical equipment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
• Manage complex projects involving upgrades or installations of building systems by coordinating with contractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including electrical codes and industrial maintenance standards.
• Maintain detailed schematics, technical manuals, and records for all facilities systems; utilize tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Monitor energy consumption and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce operational costs while maintaining guest comfort.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues proactively; respond swiftly to emergency repairs or system failures.
• Collaborate with management to plan budgets for maintenance activities and capital improvements; oversee inventory of parts and supplies.

Skills

• Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance within a hospitality or manufacturing setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), schematics reading, and industrial maintenance practices.
• Proficiency with CMMS software for scheduling and tracking maintenance tasks.
• Skilled in project management with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent supervisory skills with experience leading diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately.
• Familiarity with safety standards related to high voltage electricity and industrial equipment; capable of using tools like ohmmeters effectively.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
