Hotel Director of Operations

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Hotel Director of Operations to lead our hospitality team with energy, vision, and a passion for excellence. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and financial performance. Your leadership will inspire teams across departments, foster a welcoming environment for guests from diverse backgrounds, and drive continuous improvement in service standards. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and engineering to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction, leveraging strong customer service skills and cultural awareness through multilingual or bilingual communication.
  • Oversee revenue management initiatives to maximize profitability by adjusting pricing strategies and optimizing occupancy levels.
  • Manage budgeting processes, monitor financial performance, and control costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety regulations, and industry standards such as night audit procedures and multi-line phone system protocols.
  • Foster a positive work environment by supervising staff, providing coaching, conducting performance reviews, and promoting professional development.
  • Oversee guest relations to resolve issues promptly and ensure memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits.
  • Coordinate with General Manager on staffing needs, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication across departments using phone etiquette and front desk management skills to support smooth daily operations.
  • Implement hospitality best practices in resort or hotel environments to elevate service quality and operational efficiency.

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience in hospitality management or hotel operations with a strong background in hotel management roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of hospitality industry standards including guest services, hotel operations, night audit procedures, and front desk management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in revenue management, budgeting, human resources practices, and customer service excellence.
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse guest populations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive operational success.
  • Experience managing multi-line phone systems and practicing professional phone etiquette within a hospitality setting.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
