Front Desk Agent & Night Auditor

BASIC FUNCTION

As Night Auditor, you will assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to: Hotel Operations Manager

Responsibilities

  • Check in guests, answer phones and take reservations
  • Respond to guest complaints, requests, and emergencies
  • Perform Night Audit per Hilton program.
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Balance Daily Income Journal. Ensure all ledgers balance.
  • Balance the cash drawer and log receipts
  • Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts on Daily Income Journal.
  • Keep accurate financial records and ledgers
  • Help prepare for forecasts and audits

General Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Experience with accounting and facilities management software
  • Excellent math skills
  • An eye for detail
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • The ability to multitask
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Availability to work overnight
  • BSc in accounting, finance, or relevant field

Mental And Physical Requirements

  • Heavy work, ability to move up to 10 lbs.
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

  • Loud noise levels (Dishwasher)
  • This position occasionally has outside activities, therefore, has exposure to weather conditions.
