Overview
Studio 6 is seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail‑oriented Front Desk Associate to join our team. This role is essential in providing clean, comfortable rooms and excellent service to every guest.
We are a small, hands‑on team — so we need someone who can multitask, communicate clearly, and help keep the property running smoothly.

Position Summary
The Front Desk Associate greets and assists guests during check‑in and check‑out, processes phone calls, manages reservations, and handles special requests. The role also supports communication between departments to ensure smooth daily operations and an excellent guest experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & Communication
- Greet all guests promptly and warmly, regardless of time or activity level
- Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, payments, and special requests
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Answer phones within 3 rings using proper greeting and etiquette
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, local area, and policies
- Manage wake-up calls, messages, and guest faxes
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times
Front Desk Operations
- Verify guest identification and payment methods
- Input accurate reservation, registration, and billing information
- Balance assigned cash bank and keep funds secure
- Process adjustments, refunds, paid-outs, and miscellaneous charges correctly
- Handle walk-in guests, overbook situations, and room changes
- Communicate important guest information to housekeeping and maintenance (early check-ins, special requests, room issues, etc.)
- Maintain lobby cleanliness and ensure front desk area is organized and professional
Coordination With Other Departments
- Work closely with Housekeeping to verify room status, discrepancies, early turnovers, and special cleaning needs
- Communicate with Maintenance regarding room issues, down rooms, or repair needs
- Notify Management of operational issues, safety concerns, or unusual situations
- Assist in preparing daily reports, occupancy updates, and shift handoff notes
Property Knowledge
Maintain working knowledge of:
- Studio 6 policies, services, and hours of operation
- Current room rates, promotions, extended-stay packages, and discounts
- Daily occupancy, arrivals, departures, and stay-overs
- Safety policies, emergency procedures, and lost & found protocol
- Location of rooms, amenities, laundry, ice, vending, and maintenance areas
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk experience preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to handle fast-paced or stressful situations calmly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be reliable and punctual every shift
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, and move for extended periods
- Lift up to 20 lbs occasionally (lost & found items, guest packages, supplies)
- Ability to bend, reach, and use hands for computer and phone tasks
