Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hospitable Front Desk Agent to join the Front Desk team at our 150-room, boutique hotel located near Times Square. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and reservations using hotel management software and booking platforms (e.g. IQware, Expedia, Booking.com).
- Operate phone systems to manage incoming calls and provide information as needed.
- Conduct audits as needed to ensure transactions are accurate.
- Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Provide local area information, recommendations, and directions to guests.
- Uphold hotel best practices while maintaining confidentiality of guest information.
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a hotel front desk role
- Ability to quickly learn new software systems and operation procedures
- Familiarity with hotel management software is a plus.
- Ability to perform audit duties as required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with local attractions and restaurants
