Hotel Housekeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and common areas. This position requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional service and ensuring that all areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including guest rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment for various surfaces and materials.
• Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained in good condition.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Follow established housekeeping protocols and standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Assist in housekeeping management tasks as needed to support team efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries or requests with professionalism and maintaining noise control in guest areas when possible.
• perate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
• Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
• Empty the laundry chute and prepare loads for washer.
• Pre-sort and separate linen by classification and transfer by lifting, carrying or transporting to work stations.
• Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc.
• Separate out laundry requiring mending or special stain removal.
• Clean empty hampers.
• Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
• Clean up machines and surrounding areas.
• Stock linen room with cleaned product.

Requirements

• Previous experience in industrial cleaning, custodial services, or hospitality is preferred.
• Knowledge of effective cleaning methods and floor care techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
• A positive attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding service in a hotel or similar environment.
