Hotel Housekeeper

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure guest rooms and public areas meet high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hygiene. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment where attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude are essential. Prior experience in cleaning or hospitality is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate. A strong work ethic and reliability are key qualities for success in this position.

Duties

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to hotel standards
• Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish amenities as needed
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and perform floor care to maintain a pristine environment
• Handle janitorial tasks such as trash removal, surface cleaning, and disinfecting high-touch areas
• Perform specialized cleaning tasks including industrial cleaning and detailed custodial duties when required
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, elevators, and other common spaces
• Report maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services is preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and hard floor maintenance
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous but not required
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under time constraints
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards guest service and teamwork
