Hotel Housekeeping Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensure high standards of cleanliness across all guest rooms and public areas, and foster a positive, efficient work environment. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the hotel’s reputation for excellence, ensuring that every guest experiences a spotless, welcoming atmosphere from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the daily activities of the housekeeping staff, including cleaning schedules, training, and performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement cleaning protocols to ensure all guest rooms, corridors, public spaces, and back-of-house areas meet company standards for hygiene and presentation
  • Coordinate with front desk and maintenance teams to address guest requests, repairs, or special cleaning needs promptly
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to uphold cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; ensure proper usage and storage
  • Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the housekeeping department

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial leadership roles with a strong understanding of hospitality standards
  • Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (carpet cleaning, polishing), industrial cleaning methods, and janitorial best practices
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry regulations and safety procedures
  • Experience with inventory management and supply ordering processes
