Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality cleaning standards
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to verify cleanliness, safety, and adherence to hotel policies
• Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
• Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain operational readiness
• Foster a positive work environment by motivating staff, providing feedback, and resolving any performance or guest-related issues promptly
• Implement and monitor health and safety regulations related to janitorial and industrial cleaning practices
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special cleaning projects or deep cleans during low occupancy periods

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, or custodial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques including floor care and industrial cleaning
• Prior supervisory or management experience in hospitality or related industries is highly preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, safety procedures, and best practices for maintaining cleanliness standards
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively and handle guest concerns professionally
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods while performing cleaning duties
• Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
