Duties

• Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and specialty cleaning equipment efficiently and safely.
• Sort, load, and unload laundry items, ensuring proper handling of delicate fabrics and special cleaning requirements like dry cleaning.
• Inspect linens and garments for stains, tears, or damage; report or replace items as needed to uphold quality standards.
• Follow established procedures for washing, drying, folding, and storing linens to maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly sanitizing equipment and workspaces.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking linen supplies and notifying management when stock levels are low.
• Adhere to safety protocols and proper handling techniques to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience in laundry operations or hotel housekeeping is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, stain removal, and dry cleaning processes.
• Excellent attention to detail to identify fabric issues and ensure high-quality results.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple loads and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive motions comfortably.
