Hotel Maintenance and Groundskeeper

We're looking for a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Technician & Groundskeeper to join the team at our recently renovated boutique hotel. This is a key role that supports our existing maintenance team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and General Manager. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance with a focus on curb appeal, room preventative maintenance, and pool maintenance.
• Take pool readings and distribute chemicals daily.
• Manicure grounds, flowerbeds, and lawns. Trash removal.
• Daily tickets for guest room issues may include light plumbing, carpentry, hvac.
• Act promptly to resolve emergency issues that could negatively impact guest satisfaction or the property condition.
• Communicate tasks effectively using mobile ticketing platform.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate status updates to managers.
• Program smart locks.
• Duties may evolve based on the needs of the business.

Requirements

• Must be familiar with plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems. Hotel industry experience is a plus. Unlicensed jacks of all trades welcome!
• Problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to identify issues and address them quickly.
• Attention to detail and physical stamina.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes, weekends and holidays, including responding to evening requests.
• Willingness to respond to properties during emergencies.
• Reliable transportation
