Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities and manufacturing processes.
Job Description:
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across apartment complexes or facilities.
- Respond to maintenance requests and resolve tenant issues promptly.
- Conduct regular building inspections to identify safety or EPA issues.
- Perform basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repairs.
- Carry out aesthetic and structural fixes, including painting, carpentry, and drywall.
- Maintain inventory and schedule necessary repairs.
- Coordinate with third-party technicians when needed.
- Ensure communal areas remain clean and functional.
- Rekey locks and replace door hardware as required.
- Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functioning of automated machinery.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrication as needed to support equipment maintenance or facility upgrades.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Lead or supervise maintenance projects, including coordinating team efforts and ensuring safety compliance during facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting or structural repairs.
- Support manufacturing operations by ensuring machinery is operating efficiently and safely at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from production teams or facility staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 2 years of building and general maintenance, appliance repair, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical experience is required.
- Experience with plumbing (leaks, fixtures, drains), HVAC, thermostat, carpentry, and drywall repairs and maintenance.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting (outlets, breakers, light fixtures).
- Ability to repair appliances (dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens).
- Proficient with the use of hand/power tools and reading blueprints or technical manuals.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for coordinating maintenance projects or teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
- Experience: 1 year of building and general maintenance, appliance repair, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical experience is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.50 – 19.00 per week
