Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role involves overseeing general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property, including guest rooms, meeting spaces, front-of-house, and back-of-house areas such as kitchens, laundry facilities, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and HVAC systems.

The Maintenance Engineer will also assist in preventive maintenance for major equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct general maintenance and repair tasks in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas.
• Maintain and repair back-of-house areas, including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and address basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment.
• Provide exceptional communication and customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of building maintenance experience; hotel experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of general maintenance, mechanical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.
